LANTERNE HOUSE

• The French word “Lanterne”, in reference to architecture, means “see-through” • The enfilade floor plan creates an intimate style of living • The house is one room wide which allows light and air to flow through easily • Interior finishes include wide plank white oak floors, limestone entrance hall, pigmented plaster walls, and 18th c wrought iron French hardware • The physical and visual connection between the interiors and the motor court, gardens, and lawns is accentuated in true country house fashion • An 18th c house in the village of Versailles, called “La Lanterne”, inspired the design •
